Hudson Automotive Group, headquartered in Charleston, SC, has agreed to acquire All Star Automotive Group, the Baton Rouge, LA-based dealership and service network, in a $700 million deal that includes dealerships, collision operations, a parts warehouse and a used car super center, sources told The Advocate.
The deal comprises nearly $200 million in real estate, a group brand value of around $80 million, and the remaining value tied to vehicle inventory and tangible assets. If approved by the involved automakers, the transaction would mark the largest dealership group sale in Louisiana history.
This acquisition positions Hudson Automotive to significantly expand its footprint in the Southeast, adding 13 dealerships across Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and Prairieville in Louisiana, representing 14 brands including Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and others. The agreement also includes collision centers at four dealerships, a parts warehouse and used car superstore.
Hudson Automotive Group has indicated its intention to retain the nearly 700 employees currently working across All Star locations.
