Statues add to intrigue at Gupta’s Liberty Commodities

Some $836,000 of artwork and statues are listed among the assets of Sanjeev Gupta’s UK-based trading group Liberty Commodities, which Credit Suisse is reportedly trying to wind up following the collapse of Greensill Capital.

Liberty Commodities is among the entities owned by Mr Gupta’s GFG Alliance whose invoices were packaged up into bonds and sold off by Greensill to Credit Suisse, which put them in some of its supply chain finance funds.
