According to data from Trendlyne, the fund purchased 5.27 lakh shares of the company at an average price of Rs 223.72 apiece, taking the total transaction value to Rs 11.78 crore. Notably, the deal was executed at a price nearly 15% lower than TIL’s closing price of Rs 262.48 apiece on Wednesday.
TIL saw a number of block deals yesterday. Apart from Singularity Equity Fund I, Mahan Eximp sold 4.36 lakh shares for more than Rs 9 crore at Rs 216.18 apiece, while Salgurn Merchants sold 10.98 lakh shares at Rs 215.82 per share in a transaction valued at nearly Rs 24 crore.

Kolkata-based TIL, formerly known as Tractors India, has a product portfolio comprising a wide range of mobile cranes (rough terrain, truck cranes, industrial, and pick-n-carry cranes) lattice boom crawler cranes, reach stackers, and container handlers.
The company also makes custom-made and application-specific defence equipment.

TIL share price
TIL shares dropped more than 2% on Thursday to trade at Rs 256 apiece on NSE. The stock has gained over 24% in a week and 25% in a month, but is down nearly 6% in 2026 so far. In the longer term, TIL shares have fallen over 26% in one year, but gained more than 267% in three years and over 404% in five years.
Earlier in May this year, TIL reported a net loss of more than Rs 10 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, as against a net profit of nearly Rs 10 crore reported in the same quarter last year. Its total revenue fell slightly to Rs 109 crore, while EBITDA more than halved to Rs 10 crore. EBITDA margin stood at 9.5% in Q4 FY26, as against 21.47% in the year-ago period.
Back in 2024, Gainwell Group, India dealer of Caterpillar heavy equipment, acquired TIL and infused Rs 120 crore into the Kolkata-based construction equipment maker that included Rs 70 crore for subscribing a preferential issue of equity shares.
