Why the Most Active Equities List Matters

The Most Active Equities list highlights stocks seeing the highest trading volumes during the session. High volume indicates that a large number of shares are changing hands and can point to increased investor and trader participation.

A stock with both high volume and a significant price movement can attract particular attention, although volume alone does not indicate whether the stock will continue to rise or fall.

Conclusion

As of 11:30 AM IST on Monday, August 10, 2026, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller and Vedanta Oil and Gas were among the most actively traded stocks on the NSE. Vedanta Oil and Gas, EMIL and Allcargo Logistics stood out for their strong price gains alongside heavy activity, while Ola Electric and Inox Wind remained under pressure despite significant volumes.
