Russian missile attacks and drone strikes have destroyed
nearly half the warehouse capacity of logistics company Berger Cargo. Of the
company’s 83,000 square meters of warehouse space, more than 40,000 square
meters have been lost.
Berger Cargo director and co-founder Valerii Baranovskyi
told NV Business in an interview: “We have lost nearly half our warehouse
capacity — more than 40,000 square meters.”
Before the Russian attacks, the company owned 83,000 square
meters of warehouse space in Kyiv Oblast, Odesa and Lviv. Berger Cargo had
three facilities in Kyiv Oblast: one was completely destroyed and two were
partially destroyed. At one of them, 33,500 square meters burned down.
Baranovskyi estimated the company’s total losses at about
UAH 65 million ($1.45 million). The figure includes destroyed equipment, IT
infrastructure, forklifts and other fixed assets.
“There is damage, there are losses. But we are not losing
heart and will keep working,” the entrepreneur said.
After the attacks, the company began expanding its
operations into new regions, he said. Berger Cargo opened a branch in
Chernivtsi in September and now has about 12,000 square meters of space across
several locations there. The company is also expanding its Lviv branch and
considering opening new facilities in other regions.
“The plan is to expand geographically and actively open new
locations in new cities,” Baranovskyi said.
Berger Cargo is a full-service Ukrainian logistics company
specializing in warehousing, cargo handling and transportation services.
It was previously reported that 17 people were killed in a
Russian strike on Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast overnight on Aug. 5, 2026, while 28
missiles were not intercepted.
The Rozetka warehouse complex in Brovary was destroyed
beyond repair.
One of the largest production facilities was lost. Russia
struck Epicentr warehouses and a factory.

The Novus logistics center was destroyed and ceased
operations completely.
Following the Russian strikes overnight on Aug. 5, losses
suffered by companies including Rozetka, Epicentr and Nova Poshta amounted to
billions of dollars for each company.
The Rozetka distribution center near Kyiv, destroyed in the
Russian strike overnight on Aug. 5, was valued at $70 million. Rozetka is also
cutting staff following the destruction of its warehouse in Brovary.
According to the latest data, 11 major companies were
affected by the Russian strike overnight on Aug. 5.
On Aug. 28, 2026, Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Taras
Vysotskyi said Russia had destroyed about 90% of food retailers’ logistics
infrastructure.
From Aug. 31 to Sept. 6:
A Russian attack damaged an Auchan warehouse.
Russian forces attacked a Nova Poshta terminal in Odesa
Oblast.
In Kyiv, a Russian strike sparked a fire at a warehouse in
Pohreby.
Russia attacked a Varus supermarket chain warehouse in Kyiv
Oblast; the company reported possible delivery delays and temporary shortages
of some products.
A Dnipro-M distribution center was attacked in Kyiv.
Russian forces destroyed an Aurora store chain distribution
center in Kyiv Oblast.
Russia attacked a Ukrzaliznytsia rail depot with ballistic
missiles.
A factory in Irpin, rebuilt after Russian shelling in 2022,
again halted production.
Against this backdrop, Ukrainian Agriculture and Food
Minister Taras Vysotskyi acknowledged that food prices could rise, though he
said the increase would not be critical.
It was also reported that warehouses in the Bucha and
Boryspil districts were hit during Russian strikes on Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast.
A Russian drone attacked a Coca-Cola plant in Kyiv Oblast.
Russia also struck Ukraine’s largest pharmaceutical
warehouse, Biocon. Russia also struck a warehouse belonging to pharmaceutical
company Teva twice in one day.
