Mrs S Curran has applied for five self-build plots on land at the end of Viking Close, in the village of Wilstock.
The proposed site of the five homes is located right next to an existing nursery – Wilstock Gardens Childcare.
The applicant stated that the land is currently ‘vacant and covered in weeds’.
“Therefore, developing it into attractive houses would significantly enhance the neighbourhood,” Mrs Curran added.
“The reason for seeking outline planning permission is the pressing need for more self-build plots in this area.”
It is planned that the plot will be sold to those interested in self-building, as the land is deemed too small for agricultural use.
