Protesters carried banners urging support for livelihoods, the creation of employment opportunities for young people, and investment in local resources to help improve living standards. They stressed that Deir ez-Zor possesses significant economic potential that should be used to serve its residents.
The demonstrators also called for development plans that make better use of the province’s natural and agricultural resources, helping to reduce unemployment and poverty while promoting social and economic stability.
