Masked man makes off with cigarettes, cash and alcohol following robbery in Belfast

A masked man made off with cigarettes, cash and alcohol following a robbery in south Belfast.

The suspect entered commercial premises on Lisburn Road at around 9pm on Tuesday and approached a member of staff demanding that they open the till.

He is described as being approximately six foot tall and aged between 40 and 50 – he was wearing a white and silver rain jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms, dark coloured shoes, and rubber gloves.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Magee said the suspect made off with a sum of cash, as well as a number of tobacco products and a quantity of alcohol.

“Enquiries ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who might have any information which could assist us, to get in touch,” they added.

“The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 1522 of 22/04/25.”
