Commissioners renewed Jason Reynolds’ three-year term on the Natural Resources Assistance Council and shared Medicare cost assistance information
Carroll County commissioners reappointed Jason Reynolds to the 14-county Natural Resources Assistance Council during their June 22 meeting.
Reynolds, wildlife and forestry technician for the Carroll Soil and Water Conservation District, was appointed through the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association to a new three-year term on the council. His term begins Sept. 24.
The Natural Resources Assistance Council helps review and recommend projects funded through the Ohio Public Works Commission Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program.
Clerk Melissa Schaar also reminded residents that Medicare beneficiaries may qualify for programs that help reduce health care costs through the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act.
Eligible residents may receive assistance with Medicare savings programs and Extra Help, which can help pay Medicare premiums, deductibles, copayments and prescription drug costs. More information is available through the Area Agency on Aging Region 9 by calling 1-800-945-4250.
