MANKATO — GreenSeam will host a workshop from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 2, at the St. James Golf Course in St. James to connect ag-related businesses to the people, information and resources they need to start or grow their business locally.
At the half-day workshop, attendees will expand their network of fellow businesses, community leaders and experts in community-based entrepreneurship and gain the necessary tools to take their business or idea to the next level.
University of Minnesota Extension Educator Neil Linscheid will talk about the critical variable that contributes to the success of a business in the county. Jeff Stamp, inventor of the Lays Baked potato chip and professor of entrepreneurship at the U of M, will share the six problems all entrepreneurs must solve.
Also, listen to a panel of local business success stories from Romsdahl Companies, Winegar Inc, Berry Pallets and more. The day will conclude with a work session where attendees can ask questions, access regional resources and connect with the local Economic Development.
