PARKERSBURG-Lip Sync Battle 2024 raised approximately $10,000 for both national and local charities Saturday evening, Actors Guild Board of Trustees member Sherry Braid said.
Margaret Hoschar of the Court Appointed Special Advocates placed first, competing for Voices for Children Foundation. Artisan Cosmetology, comprised of Liz Zimmerman, Tara Huck, Nevaeh Hutson, Leslie Craft, Heather Wilson, Alyssa Farnsworth, Stormy Wigal and Jaylin Florencey placed second, benefiting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Pam Creel, Kelli Koon, Toni Holbrook, Jennifer Morrison and Sandy Hintz from Wine Down on Market placed third, benefiting the Wood County Society.
“It was a successful night, not only for the Actors Guild but for the nine nonprofits chosen,” Braid said.
Winners were chosen based on a formula of 25% online voting prior to the competition, 50% live judges totals, and 25% live voting during the event.
