The growth of investments in fixed assets is accelerating in Belarus, sb.by reports with reference to the weekly macro-review of the Eurasian Development Bank, sb.by reports
As noted, In January-June 2026, the volume of investments increased by 4.1 percent after 1.5 percent in January-May, and this acceleration is largely due to the return of construction work to growth and increased investment in equipment.
“Government support for investment activity continues to play an important role. Investments financed from the budget increased by 11.4 percent, while investments due to concessional loans rose almost two-fold. Taking into account the expansion of investment activity, we forecast Belarus’ GDP growth above 1.5 percent in 2026,” the EDB experts concluded.
