THE weekend’s Eulah Creek festivities have been declared a sunny success.

Eulah Creek put its warm country hospitality on show for its camp oven cook-off on Saturday.

The day featured 32 camp ovens and ample amounts of food for both locals and visitors.

The billy-boiling competition again proved a hit with the attendees.

“Everyone had a great night,” Beulah Park Hall committee president Dave Morris said.

Success continued on Sunday with attendance numbers up by about 150 people on the previous year.

“It was a big day. We had beautiful weather,” Dave said.

“That great weather makes a difference.”

A large contingent of vehicles was on display, with 32 from a regional group and another 20 independent vehicles.

Draught horses, sheep and working dog demonstrations, shearing, ploughing and a blacksmith were among the highlights.

Family-friendly activities formed a key part of the event’s success, particularly the inclusion of a jumping castle and a model train display in the hall.
