The officers, part of the Operation Raptor team, responded to reports of a firearm being seen in an address in Harlow on January 22.
Upon arrival, a man attempted to escape in a vehicle but was intercepted and found with 28 bags of cocaine.
A search of the premises uncovered a blank-firing handgun, more bags of cocaine, a substantial amount of cash, and a large quantity of cannabis.

Euron Hoxha, 18, from Trowbridge, and Can Bilgili, 20, from Enfield, were charged with possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs and possession of criminal property.
They appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on January 24 and have been remanded in custody until their hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on February 21.
Det Insp Richard Trower, of Op Raptor, said: “This was a good example of coordination between our teams, working to tackle drug supply and reports of weapons seen in Harlow.”
