Eden Ibiza’s Space party rebrands as NOSPACE following trademark ruling

Ibiza club Eden has rebranded its Space residency club night to NOSPACE after a court ruling over the rights to event’s branding.

Last week, it was reported that Space Ibiza founder Pepe Roselló’s ownership of the iconic ‘Space’ trademark had been annulled in a Valencia commercial court due to its “nominative and graphic” resemblance to the original logo, the rights to which were first filed by Fiesta Hotels & Resorts SL, owned by the Matutes family, in 1991. Palladium Hotel Group — the business group that owns Fiesta Hotels & Resorts SL — subsequently demanded that the Space Ibiza residency currently being held at Eden nightclub, which Roselló first announced earlier this year, be brought to an end.

In a press statement, Eden shared: “Due to the ongoing battle to keep our Friday night presence in San Antonio, we believe it is crucial to launch NOSPACE to protect this vital part of the Ibiza clubbing scene. Fridays at Eden are more than just a night out; they are a tradition that defines the Ibiza experience for many and a home to a global community of clubbers.”

Yesterday, 7th August, Eden posted a video on Instagram unveiling the new branding: “We were always there, now there is NOSPACE. Embrace what we had and celebrate what is coming. You know we know. Now the rest can know too. There is NOSPACE.”

The video itself says: “There is no space in this world for cowards and bullies.”

NOSPACE launches on 9th August and closes for the season on 4th October. The headliners are yet to be announced. Sign up on the website for more information and read the post below.
