Drug dealer caught with criminal cash jailed on Isle of Man

One witness said he narrowly missed a head on collision with the white Nissan as Liggins pulled out into oncoming traffic to overtake the vehicle in an “idiotic” manoeuvre, the court heard.

The Nissan, which was also carrying two passengers, swerved off the road and rolled down the hill two to three times before coming to a rest, the court was told.

Liggins pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply, possession of criminal property, dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without consent, driving without a license and driving without insurance.

Jailing him for four years and one month, Deemster Graeme Cook said it was “lucky” nobody had been hurt in the crash.

Liggins was also banned from driving for five years, and will have to take an extended driving test.
