AUSTIN, Texas — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 66-year-old man last seen in South Austin on Tuesday afternoon.
The Austin Police Department is looking for Douglas Wendall, who is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment.
Wendall was last seen on foot at 12:50 p.m. at 3200 Slaughter Lane, the West Oaks nursing home.
He is described as a white man, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray sweatpants.
Law enforcement believe his disappearance poses a credible threat to his own health and safety.
