HOUSE prices in Malaga province reached a record high in June with an average square metre price coming in at €3,282, but there are big savings to be made with inland properties.
The figures compiled by real estate portal idealista showed a 4.4% price rise in the second quarter of 2024 above the first three months year.
The annual increase was a significant 11.3% compared to a price of €2,949 per m2 in June 2023.

Across Andalucia, the average price is €2,190- so substantially lower than in Malaga province.
Put simply, coastal areas have the highest home prices, with the best bargain to be had in the Malaga area coming in at just €616 per m2 in Alameda.

For people with bigger pockets, Marbella clocked up €4,812 per m2 in June, closely followed by Benhavis on €4,479 per m2.
The annual price rise in Marbella was 13.7%, while Benhavis was more modest at 9.6%.
