A man has been charged in connection with an attempted murder after armed cops swarmed a property in Dundee and fired shots.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder after officers were called to Earlston Avenue, Dundee, at around 12.10pm on Friday, March 14.
Police shot a firearm during the incident and the circumstances have been referred to the Police Investigation and Review Commissioner (PIRC).
The gunshots can be heard in videos shared on social media before armed police were seen storming the house. Another video showed cops still parked up on the dark street.
He is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 1 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder in Dundee.
“Officers were called to Earlston Avenue around 12.10pm on Friday, 14 March, 2025.
“A firearm was discharged by police during the incident and the circumstances have been referred to the Police Investigation and Review Commissioner (PIRC).
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“He is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 1 April, 2025″
