The distraught family of a nine-year-old boy who tragically died after being accidentally shot on a family weekend away have shared a heartfelt tribute.
Mohamed Fattah known as ‘Moey’ and ‘Hamad,’ was shot dead when a gun allegedly being held by a teenager unexpectedly fired in what police believe was a tragic accident.
In an outpouring of grief one family member remembered him as his ‘favourite cousin,’ who he will ‘miss so much.’
‘Why does it have to happen to him? He is still so little,’ he posted on social media.
‘I miss you so much. You were like a little brother to me. When I found out, I fell down crying. I couldn’t get up.
‘I didn’t believe it was real and when they pronounced him dead I couldn’t stop crying.’
The Sydney school boy was accidentally shot in the neck on a farm at Windellama, near Goulburn, at about 11.20am on Sunday.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, but despite their best efforts, he could not be saved.

A 33-year-old man and a teenage boy have since been charged with firearm offences over the incident.
Both were taken to Goulburn police station on Sunday.
The teenager was charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm and granted conditional bail to appear before the children’s court on May 16.
The man was charged with allowing an unauthorised person to possess a firearm and not keep a firearm safely, and will appear before Goulburn Local Court on May 14.
The family had been staying on his grandfather’s property for a boys’ weekend when the tragedy occurred.
Moey’s mother, Mariam, remembered her ‘very cheeky son’ who frequently featured him in social media videos for the family’s convenience store in Western Sydney.
She told the Daily Telegraph: ‘I just want people to know it can happen to anyone, so hold your loved ones close.
‘It was a tragic accident … he was loved by everyone, he was a very cheeky, happy boy.’

In one of the store’s videos, Moey showed of the shop’s array of drinks and told followers: ‘Feeling thirsty guys?
‘I’ve got two new, straight from Japan Fanta! This is peach flavour, this is grape!’
The family are originally from Sydney and had bought the property five years ago as a weekender, according to shocked neighbours.
It’s understood the family had just arrived at the farm for the start of the school holidays.
Police spent much of the afternoon at the scene conducting inquiries as livestock wandered around the property.
Shocked neighbours recalled hearing a single shot being fired, which they described as being unusual for the middle of the day.
Goulburn state MP Wendy Tuckerman described the incident as ‘an absolute terrible tragedy’ as she expressed her condolences to the boy’s family.
