To commemorate actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s 38th birthday on April 28, a dedicated fan built a temple in her honour in Andhra Pradesh as a sincere act of love.
By planning a special lunch for orphans and commemorating the day at what he affectionately refers to as “The Temple of Samantha,” the fan, Tenali Sandeep, went above and beyond in his devotion.
Videos of the temple decorated with colourful streamers and flowers, where the actress’s idols were positioned, are currently trending on social media. Sandeep turned the tribute into a heartwarming act of celebration and charity by hosting a meal for the kids and cutting a birthday cake with them as part of the festivities.

While talking to the press, Tenali elaborated about the feat and said, “My name is Tenali Sandeep. I hail from Alapadu gramam in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. I am a huge admirer of Samantha garu. I have been celebrating her birthday for three years now. I also put up this temple then. Today the temple has turned 3. Every year, I ensure I feed children and cut a cake on the day. Her philanthropy inspires me, and I want to follow in her footsteps.”
In India, especially in the South, the admiration for film stars often transcends fandom, with several actors and actresses being revered like deities. Celebrities such as Rajinikanth, NTR, Khushbu Sundar, Sridevi, Nayanthara, and Nidhhi Agerwal, bollywood icons like Amitabh Bachchan and Sonu Sood are a few other celebrities similarly immortalized with temples dedicated to them.
