Police say their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A house in a Scots town has been targeted by vandals who daubed ‘beast’ on the walls and smashed the windows of the property.
Police were alerted to the incident this afternoon at the house on Granger Street in Kilmarnock this afternoon at around 1:35pm.
Officers told the Record their enquiries are at an early stage.
An image shows windows and the front door boarded up, with ‘beast’ and ‘keep away’ spray painted on the walls.
It is understood that vigilante groups have been protesting in the street at various dates over the past week due to a known sex offender believed to be living in the area.
The house was previously targeted in recent days with blue spray paint but had been cleaned up before the latest incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.35pm on Thursday, 19 June, 2025, we received a report of vandalism to a property in the area of Granger Road, Kilmarnock.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
