Stellantis screwed the pooch in America and dealers are sitting on a mountain of unsold inventory. The company is now trying to clear out the glut by offering thousands of dollars in incentives.
As part of the Dodge Power Dollars promotion, the company is giving customers $10 per horsepower in cash allowance toward the purchase of certain 2023 Chargers and Challengers. The promotion also extends to all versions of the 2024 Durango and Hornet.

The Durango SRT Hellcat has the most eye-catching offer as Dodge is providing a $7,100 discount due to its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that develops 710 hp (529 kW / 720 PS). The incentive lowers the price from $95,995 to $88,895.
If that’s too rich for your blood, the Durango SRT 392 has a $4,750 incentive. That lowers the price from $74,995 to $70,245. Of course, you’ll also have to settle for a more modest 6.4-liter HEMI V8 developing 475 hp (354 kW / 482 PS).
High-performance versions of the Charger and Challenger are excluded from the promotion, so the best offer is a $3,750 discount on a Challenger R/T. The model starts at $41,640 but customers might be better off waiting for the redesigned Charger, which offers a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six as well as an electric powertrain. While fans will undoubtedly miss the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, the new Hurricane engine is more powerful as it has outputs of 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 550 hp (410 kW / 558 PS).
Last but not least, the slow-selling Hornet has discounts of $2,680 and $2,880. However, even with the extra incentives, the model feels like a tough sell.
