Where does Indianapolis Colts’ rookie Tyler Warren land in Pro Football Focus’ fantasy football tight end rankings ahead of the 2025 NFL season?
PFF’s Jonathon Marci recently ranked and put each tight end into a tier for the upcoming fantasy season. Warren found himself in Tier 3, which was titled “The old guard meets the new guard.”

Joining him were Mark Andrews, Jonnu Smith, Travis Kelce, David Njoku, Evan Engram, and Colston Loveland. Overall, Warren was ranked 12th among all tight ends.
The addition of Warren to the Colts‘ offense will give this unit that much-needed passing game presence from the tight end position. Warren is coming off a 2024 season at Penn State where he recorded over 100 receptions and eclipsed 1,200 receiving yards.
Over the middle of the field, in particular, with his size and athleticism, Warren can be a real threat. During OTAs and minicamp, we already saw Warren being “very active” in the Colts’ passing game, regardless of who the quarterback was.
Although blocking and versatility don’t necessarily show up on the fantasy football scoreboard, Warren’s impact on this Colts’ offense will go well beyond just the passing game.

His versatility allows him to line up across the formation to help create mismatches. Warren’s willingness and ability as a blocker will allow him to leave his mark in the run game as well.
When an offense has a do-it-all presence at tight end, like what Warren can provide, there is a level of unpredictability that is added to that unit because that player can fill a variety of roles. Defenses are then unable to easily get a beat on what’s coming simply based on who is on the field or where players are lined up, which then leads to opportunities for both Warren and his teammates that can be exploited.
“I think the great thing about him — very smart football player. He picks up things very quickly,” Shane Steichen said of Warren, via NBC Sports. “You tell him once, he’s got a good feel for it. And even if he’s got to correct something, he’s got a great mindset of getting it corrected on the next time he goes out there.
“He’s been phenomenal so far. Obviously, I know we don’t have pads on, but his movement skills, great feel, great instincts. It’ll be good this week to get another week of that work in, and then going into training camp will be great for him.”
