Staffordshire County Council’s highways crews have installed a new three-arm roundabout on the A51 leading to the huge site which is being re-development. Latest Express & Star aerial images show the island and the school development which is nearing completion.
Part of this land transformation will includes the construction of the Rugeley John Taylor all-through school which will to serve both primary and secondary age pupils.
The roadworks which included overnight lane closures were carried out to the tune of £2.7 million. The project was launched last September and highways crews finished slightly ahead of schedule due to the dry weather conditions. The scheme included the extension of existing paths and cycleways, installation of a toucan pedestrian crossing on the A5, new drainage and street lighting.
