Andrei Matei, 35, used a specially modified tool alongside an accomplice to jam open the cash dispenser on the ATMs so they could take money from inside it.
Matei travelled up and down the country and stole money from cash machines in Berkshire, Bradford, Wakefield, Nottingham, Bristol, Bath and London and caused over £30,000 of damage to the ATMs.
West Yorkshire Police officers started the investigation but officers the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit became involved and cops examined CCTV from several locations.

Matei, of Crumpsall, Manchester, was arrested in Nottinghamshire in September 2023 and admitted 483 charges of theft from cash machines and criminal damage.
He was sentenced to 27 months in jail at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, February 26, and will also be deported back to Romania when he is released.
