Lucknow: Thieves made off with jewellery worth Rs 6 lakh and cash amounting to Rs 3 lakh from a bank manager’s house in Banthra area when the family had gone to attend a birthday party on Wednesday night.
Police are searching for the thieves based on the footage of CCTV camera installed in the house. According to reports, the bank manager, Rajiv Anand Gupta of Paras Vihar Colony behind Hindustan Academy, along with his parents, had gone to attend his nephew’s birthday celebration in Gomtinagar. On Thursday, Rajiv’s neighbours noticed that the lock of the main gate of his house was broken and immediately alerted him. When Rajiv reached home, he saw that the jewellery and cash were missing from the cupboards.
