How To Transmog Armor in Palworld

Palworld transports players into a unique world where they can capture Pals for battle, build their own base, and challenge powerful bosses to progress through the game’s narrative. With each major update, new content and challenges await, further adding to the adventures that players can embark on.

Beyond capturing Pals and honing their base-building skills, players can craft a variety of armor sets and equipment to better prepare for Palworld’s dangers. While armor and equipment appearances were previously fixed, a recent update to the transmog system now allows players to customize their look. Here’s how to change the appearance of armor and equipment in Palworld.

How To Get An Antique Dresser

To change the appearance of both armor and equipment in Palworld, players will need access to an Antique Dresser. Many players may already have an Antique Dresser set up at their base. However, for those that don’t, they can unlock it at level 22 for one Ancient Technology Point, and then build it with the following resources:

How To Transmog Armor & Equipment

Once one is set up at the player’s base, they can head over to the Antique Dresser and select the “Edit Character Outfit” option. Doing so will bring players into the Equipment Appearance Menu. Here, they can change the appearance of their equipped headpieces, armor, and gliders to other equivalent pieces of equipment, as long as they have them crafted and stored in their inventory or base storage.

For example, players can transmog the appearance of Pal Metal Armor to look like that of Heat-Resistant Pelt Armor by simply selecting the Heat-Resistant Pelt Armor in the body slot, before hitting ‘Ok’ to save their changes.

The same applies to any form of headwear and gliders that players have equipped. Changes made in the Equipment Appearance Menu will remain, even if they switch out the armor or equipment they have already equipped.

Changing the appearance of armor or equipment is purely cosmetic and does not affect the currently equipped item’s stats, allowing players to maintain a preferred look without it being altered when they need to upgrade or switch out their armor and equipment.

Players can also modify their equipment’s appearance again via the Antique Dresser or revert to their original look by clearing the head, body, or glider slot in the Equipment Appearance Menu.
