Heavy machinery used by robbers to steal ATM in Brampton

Police say bandits used a construction excavator to pull an automated teller machine from a Brampton bank.

It is believed the heist took place around 4 a.m. Thursday (June 5) at the TD Bank branch located in the Queen Street East and Rutherford Road North area.

According to reports, when officers answered the alarm and arrived at the scene, they discovered the damage and a large hole in the side of the bank building.

It’s not clear if one or more of the ATMs were taken.

The amount of money that was taken has not yet been determined.

Peel police are continuing their investigation.
