While the two-time MVP hasn’t publicly requested a trade and appears committed to Milwaukee, it isn’t unrealistic to think a blockbuster deal could materialize — if a team can meet Milwaukee’s high asking price for the 30-year-old forward.

Dan Favale of Bleacher Report recently compiled a mock trade that would send Antetokounmpo to San Antonio, as the club aims to build a championship contender around Victor Wembanyama.
Here’s Favale’s proposed trade:
Bucks receive: Harrison Barnes, Dylan Harper, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, 2027 first-round pick, 2029 first-round pick, 2031 first-round pick, 2030 second-round pick, 2031 second-round pick
Spurs receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo

In this scenario, the Bucks would receive a highly skilled guard in Harper, who has the potential to become an All-Star-caliber player. They would also acquire three more talented players, including Johnson, who averaged 22.0 points per game in the 2022-23 campaign. The team would land Sochan as well, though he’s set to become a restricted free agent next offseason. A versatile defender, Sochan still needs to improve his offensive game and ball-handling skills.

If Milwaukee does explore the trade market for Antetokounmpo, the return would need to be substantial. It also wouldn’t be surprising if the Bucks targeted Stephon Castle or Devin Vassell in a potential deal with the Spurs — a team that reportedly showed restraint in previous trade talks for Kevin Durant, hoping that Antetokounmpo might eventually become available.
While the Bucks don’t appear likely to shop their franchise cornerstone, a disappointing start to the 2025-26 campaign could lead to further discussion.
