Badgers Land DL Commit as Official Visits Begin originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Wisconsin football team is already getting early returns at the start of the official visit season. As they have done in the past, the Badgers are prioritizing recruits in the early weeks of official visits. And in the past two seasons, they have landed a good number of commitments using this strategy.

That strategy continues to pay off for the Badgers. Luke Fickell and company have landed a commitment from Arthur Scott, a 6-3, 290-pound defensive lineman out of Streetsboro, Ohio. Scott is a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports.
The newest Wisconsin commit announced his pledge to the Wisconsin football team on social media.
The 3-star defensive lineman held 15 Division I offers. He picked the Badgers over Rutgers, Michigan State, and Cincinnati, among others.
Scott enjoyed a productive junior season last year. According to MaxPreps, the new Badger recorded 80 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 26.5 tackles for a loss.

With the addition of Scott, the Badgers now have eight committed players in their 2026 recruiting class. He is currently the second defensive lineman in the class, but with the Badgers’ focus on rebuilding the defensive line, that number is expected to increase.
Scott is just the beginning. The number of commitments over the next couple of weeks is expected to rise as the official visit season continues.
