Andalusia council surpluses police equipment

The Andalusia City Council on Tuesday agreed to surplus vehicles and equipment no longer in use by the Andalusia Police Department.
The equipment includes three White Chevrolet Tahoes, camera equipment, lightbars, siren control, light bars, and radar antennas. The equipment will be sold on govdeals.com.
The council also abated two properties located on Lowe Avenue and Dillard Street for accumulation of inoperable vehicles, junk and scrap.
The council also agreed to contribute $5,000 to the Alabama High School Rodeo Association, which is bringing four rodeo productions to the Covington Center Arena during the 2024-25 season, including state finals set for June 4-8.
The council’s next meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, March 4.
