Impact of stock splits

A stock split increases the number of shares while keeping the company’s market capitalisation unchanged. The company decides the split ratio.

After a stock split, the share price decreases, making it more affordable for small investors. Increased availability of shares can improve trading activity and liquidity.

Lower-priced stocks often attract more investors, potentially driving demand higher.
