Airbus said it has received separate helicopter orders from a company owned by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, a German helicopter emergency medical services operator and an aeromedical services operator in West Virginia.
The European aircraft manufacturer said late Tuesday that Helicopter Company, fully owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, had signed a framework agreement with a firm order for eight H125 helicopters along with 10 H145s. The framework agreement will also include up to 120 Airbus helicopters of different types to be delivered over the next five to seven years.
Meanwhile, German helicopter emergency medical services operator DRF Luftrettung ordered up to 10 H145 helicopters. The deal includes seven firm orders, with an option for an additional three.
Separately, HealthNet Aeromedical Services in Charleston, West Virginia, ordered four H135 helicopters.
Airbus didn’t disclose financial details for the three deals.
