CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) —South Carolina’s Sturgeon Awareness Month is ending with August, and the state Department of Natural Resources is asking people to report any sightings of sturgeon.
The massive, federally endangered fish can still be found in rivers and coastal waters across the state.
The DNR wants to know if you see a sturgeon that’s stranded, injured or dead.
Reports can be filed through the department’s website.
