Leicester-based Smoke & Fire Curtains Limited has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators through law firm Freeths.
The business manufactures bespoke smoke and fire curtain systems from its Leicestershire facility, supplying products tested by UKAS-accredited laboratories to meet British and European standards.
Latest accounts for the year to 31 July 2025 show the company employed 34 staff, down from 36 a year earlier.
The accounts reported net assets of £318,739, compared with £340,507 in 2024. Tangible fixed assets fell from £96,254 to £20,656, while cash at bank stood at £11,022 at year end.
Current liabilities totalled £801,155, including £379,916 owed to trade creditors and £281,332 relating to taxation and social security liabilities.
Debtors totalled £714,393, including £372,589 owed by related company Fire Curtains Group Ltd, which is wholly owned by director A Calow.
The company’s balance sheet was signed off on 30 April 2026 under the small companies regime, with no audit undertaken.
