Shortcuts in Oblivion Remastered are a small, but extremely useful, feature that can help you quickly access items and weapons while you’re on your journey.
Shortcuts are particularly helpful if you want to switch weapons quickly when fighting enemies in Oblivion Remastered, or to take healing items while on the go.

How to create shortcuts in Oblivion Remastered
You can create item and weapon shortcuts from your Inventory menu in Oblivion Remastered.
To do this, head to your Inventory menu and then look at the command prompts at the bottom of the screen. Use the indicated command next to the ‘Show Shortcuts’ listing.
This will bring up your shortcuts menu on the right side of your screen. If you’ve not applied any shortcuts yet, then it will be blank. There are a total of eight shortcut slots to be used.
Now, select a slot you want to fill in (or replace the currently assigned item of) from the shortcuts menu.
Then, navigate your inventory without closing the shortcut menu and highlight the item you want to assign to the shortcut. Once you’ve chosen your item, use the indicated command at the bottom of your screen next to ‘Assign Item’ to assign it to the chosen slot.
That’s it, you’ve now made your very own personalised shortcut! You can do this for all eight slots and change the items in them as much as you’d like to accommodate your needs throughout the game.
How to use shortcuts in Oblivion Remastered
To use shortcuts in Oblivion Remastered you need to open the shortcut menu by holding LB on Xbox Series X/S or by holding R on PC.
Once the shortcuts menu is open, you can quickly navigate to one of your slots using directional controls and select the item or weapon you want to use or equip to your character.
