Matthew Russell, of Willow Tree Farm Shop and Café in Glemsford, near Sudbury, has submitted proposals to Babergh District Council.
The plans include erect a stand alone beauty salon on vacant land at the farm shop on the A1092 Lower Road.
A design and access statement said “the beauty salon will make use of the existing oversized Willow Tree Farm vehicular parking arrangements”.
A location plan submitted as part of the application shows it could be located at the rear of the farm shop land.
“The addition of a beauty salon is anticipated to add to the diversity of the commercial uses already in existence on the site,” the design and access statement adds.
The family-run farm shop opened a café in 2020 in a bid to create a more diverse offering.
Plans are currently with Babergh District Council and are expected to be determined by Monday, May 12.
