A 24-year-old man has been jailed after stealing cash and jewellery in two Slough burglaries last year.
Owen Piggot of Norman Crescent, Hounslow, was handed a two-year and two-month jail sentence at Aylesbury Crown Court on January 20.
A victim, who was away on holiday on June 2 last year, received a message from their neighbour at around 7.05pm stating the back door to their property on London Road had been forced open.
The victim returned from holiday the following day and discovered the electric cupboard had been damaged, the back door panel had been removed and a messy search had been carried out upstairs.
Piggot had stolen cash and jewellery worth around £350.
Another victim returned to their Ives Road home at around 6pm on June 12 last year and discovered that the door to the rear of their property had been damaged and a messy search had been carried out at the property.
Piggot had stolen a large quantity of cash, and an assortment of necklaces, earrings and rings worth £200.
Piggot was arrested and charged on September 22 2024.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary dwelling at the Aylesbury Crown Court hearing on January 20 2025.

“This conviction and sentence reflects the severity and seriousness with which these offences are taken, and is a warning that these type of offences will not be tolerated.”
